Our office advises our clients and guides them in making an “ongoing power of attorney”, which is a new tool (entered into force in 2016) as an alternative to guardianship, without the intervention of the Family Court.
An ongoing power of attorney is made by a qualified advocate in our office using an online designated form on the secured website to the Ministry of Justice.
An ongoing power of attorney allows a person to plan his/her future and to appoint while still with legal capacity an attorney in fact that will be authorized to make decisions pertaining to his affairs and carry them out.
